What to expect
Karnataka Tourism describes Nandi Hills as a hill retreat near Bengaluru with sunrise viewpoints and historic forts. Its terrain makes the distinction between a computed sunrise and the first visible sun especially useful.
The calculation uses the GeoNames hill coordinate. It does not model the surrounding ridge line or guarantee clear skies. Check access arrangements directly before setting off.
Plan around daylight
The calculation below uses the named reference point and an unobstructed horizon. It is a planning reference, not a prediction of when the sun will become visible behind hills, buildings or cloud. Allow time to reach your chosen viewpoint before the event.
Check current opening hours, access rules and weather with the local authority before travelling. A sunrise calculation does not imply that a gate, trail or beach is open before dawn. No ticket prices or opening times are assumed here.
