What to expect
The Andaman and Nicobar Tourism Directorate places Radhanagar Beach on Swaraj Dweep, formerly Havelock Island, and highlights sunset watching among its activities. The islands use Indian Standard Time, as does mainland India.
The calculation below uses a GeoNames island reference, not an exact beach access point. Consult the Directorate for current access rules. Do not interpret the time of sunset as permission to stay after a beach closes.
Plan around daylight
The calculation below uses the named reference point and an unobstructed horizon. It is a planning reference, not a prediction of when the sun will become visible behind hills, buildings or cloud. Allow time to reach your chosen viewpoint before the event.
Check current opening hours, access rules and weather with the local authority before travelling. A sunrise calculation does not imply that a gate, trail or beach is open before dawn. No ticket prices or opening times are assumed here.
