What to expect

Maharashtra Tourism identifies Wilson Point as a sunrise viewpoint in Mahabaleshwar with three watchtowers. The different platforms give different views across the surrounding hills.

The times here use the Mahabaleshwar town reference. They are not terrain-corrected times for a particular watchtower. Direct light may arrive after a hill or cloud has cleared the line of sight.

Plan around daylight

The calculation below uses the named reference point and an unobstructed horizon. It is a planning reference, not a prediction of when the sun will become visible behind hills, buildings or cloud. Allow time to reach your chosen viewpoint before the event.

Check current opening hours, access rules and weather with the local authority before travelling. A sunrise calculation does not imply that a gate, trail or beach is open before dawn. No ticket prices or opening times are assumed here.
